E kore hoki te aho takitoru e motu wawe
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken (Eccl 4:12)
We enjoy a very special relationship in Christchurch as Christian schools and the CoL. The CoL is a subset of the wider Christian Education Network and has a heart to continue fostering this relationship and deepening it as we serve families across the city who are committed to schooling their children in a place that reflects their families commitment to biblical truth.
A tension that we hold in our relationship is in understanding we don’t serve a kingdom vision in competition between schools, but in Godly collaboration. We have strong discussion, disagreement and rivalry, but in these we are called to work in a deep and authentic expression of Godly love. This is no small challenge as we stay focused on giving every child the best opportunity of doing well academically and in their personal growth towards who the Father has called them to be. Our Achievement Challenges help scaffold this focus. It is worth keeping this focus on academic achievement, personal development and spiritual growth towards our saviour at the forefront of all we do in relation to the CoL and its work.
Our community of Christian schools has over 2800 pupils in it currently. While we are individual schools, we are a network whom God has blessed in the past (looking backwards) and continues to bless now. We can have confidence He will do the same into the future as we follow closely after Him.
This website is open to every staff member of any of the CoL schools. It serves as the place to come for shared resources related to the Achievement Challenges and any other collaborative work we do. You should be able to find the resources from Col related PD you have done, examples that could help in your practice and contacts that may be helpful.
I encourage you to collaborate freely with your colleagues across our schools. Build connections and professional relationships that push your teaching practice to be better. Share your ideas so others can benefit. As you have been blessed, bless others.
Grace and peace
